Before Any Lip Procedure (Liner or Full Lip Color):

If you get any cold sores, ever in your life you may need to get an anti viral prescription. Most get Zovarex or Valtrex, you will need a 7-10 day amount.

You may also:

Need a touch up, so get enough for the 1st and 2nd procedure.  You will start them 2-3 days before procedure. Then for 7 days of healing.

If you have had any type of lip surgery, consult with your doctor about how long you should wait for permanent lip color.

Post Procedure Steps:

FOR ALL PROCEDURES:

(Eyebrows, Eyeliner, Mucosal Eyeliner, Lip Liner, Full Lip Color)

For 5-7 days following permanent makeup procedures: Lips longer

  • Wash face daily with soap and water, rinse and dry. Do this am/pm every day.
  • Apply Vaseline/Vitamin E ointment SPARINGLY am/pm, also during the day when it feels dry/itchy reapply ointment. Use a cotton swab to apply. Very important!
  • Do not PICK scabs, scabs will look like flaky mascara on your wash clothe, scabs are not big scabby scabs.
  • Do not scrub, no cleaning with creams, or chemicals. Gently cleanse!
  • Do not let the shower beat in the area done, water can run over the area.
  • Do not soak in the bath, swimming pool, hot tub. Or, swim in fresh, salt, or a chlorinated pool.
  • No cardio or excessive working out for 3-4 days after the procedure, can expel color into scabbing.
  • Do not do any glycolic peels, 6 weeks after the procedure, and 6 weeks before any touch-up procedure.
  • Do not expose to sun, OR tanning bed. Cover area, or use sunscreen, not on eyeliner.  Use sun block to prevent loss of color.  Tanning beds can change pigment and make them discolored.
  • DO NOT use mascara for 5 days, have a new tube of mascara after the procedure. No eyelash curlers for 4 weeks after eyeliner procedure (Can pull all lashes out).
  • NO EYELASH EXTENSIONS for 3-4 weeks or 3-4 weeks after touch-up procedure.
  • To reduce swelling you can use ice SPARINGLY, for eyeliner you can use tea bags, (Lipton tea bags are best) Put them in ice water or 10-15 minutes, squeeze them out slightly, put on eyes.  If your laying down put an ice cube on each tea bag.  Make sure you put an old towel on each side of your head so tea won’t stain anything.  Leave them on for 10-20 minutes swelling will be almost gone.
  • Any questions call me any time!

Failure to follow post-procedure instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration or infection.  Remember, colors appear bolder, brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure.  As the healing progresses, the color will soften.  A touch-up procedure may or may not be necessary.  Final results cannot be determined until healing is complete.

Touch up procedures must be made between 30-90 days following procedure date.  You must wait 4-6 weeks to heal before touch up can be done.  One touch per procedure is done for each procedure if 90 days expires and a touch up is wanted,

There is a cost of half the regular price.  No exceptions!

LIP procedures only:

After 4th day of healing, take a soft wash clothe, run water as hot as you can stand, put wash cloth in running water and immediately put on lips (steam them)  when it cools do again, start to do gentle circles to exfoliate scabbing that is coming off DO NOT SCRUB! Do soak again, if it starts to hurt or sting quit.  Then rinse and apply Vitamin E Oil,  you may do this soak, every other day after that til healed.
